Der Basiskurs Catamaran vermittelt die Grundlagen des Cat-Segelns und dient dem Erwerb der Ausleihberechtigung Cat. Inhalte sind u.a. das sichere Handling des Catamarans, Manöver- und Kentertraining.

Voraussetzungen für die Teilnahme sind der "Sportbootführerschein Binnen Segeln", mehr als zwei Jahre aktive Segelerfahrung auf sportlichen Jollen als Steuerfrau/-mann, das Beherrschen der Ausweichregeln, fahren im Trapez bei 4- 5 Bft. sowie gute körperliche Fitness. Der Aufstieg auf den Cat (aus dem tiefen Wasser) sowie ein Crewgewicht von mind. 150 kg müssen sichergestellt werden.

Alle Teilnehmer*innen bestätigen mit der Buchung die Schwimmfähigkeit und erkennen die
Bootshausordnung
des FU-Wassersportzentrums an. Die Kursteilnehmer*innen sind eigenverantwortlich für Ihre Boote, die mit einer Selbstbeteiligung von 250 Euro kaskoversichert sind.
Für den VDWS-Grundschein Catamaran muss zusätzlich die VDWS-Prüfung gebucht werden.



Prerequisites for participation are the "Sportbootführerschein Binnen Segeln", more than two years of active sailing experience on sporty dinghies as helmswoman/man, mastery of the evasion rules, sailing in a harness at 4-5 Bft. as well as good physical fitness. The ascent to the cat (from deep water) and a crew weight of at least 150 kg must be ensured.

Note:
With the course registration the floatability is confirmed. All participants acknowledge the
boat house regulations
of the FU Water Sports Center. The course participants are responsible for their boats, which are insured with a deductible of 250 euros.
The VDWS exam must also be booked for the VDWS basic licence Catamaran.

Please bring a windproof jacket, neoprene shoes, at least 2 changes of clothing and a 1 Euro coin for the lockers.
